First Devlog
Hello to me and to whoever I've decided to share this link with,
We have made it! At least the beta version has made it. The game is hopefully playable, it took nearly 1.5 years from learning how to make an apple move to create a simple game for the said apple to go on an adventure.
Are there any bugs? Absolutely not! I've decided to test it myself, playing the game how it should be played while knowing all the answers :)
The next step before the official launch is simple:
- Add sounds to UI, conversations, and for walking. Fix the volume of background soundtracks.
- Finish the epilogue scene, and add all the assets that have been used in the game.
- Fix progress book entries and fill out the ones that are empty.
- Fix the achievement system, and make it more detailed.
- Fix the slow movement problem when the apple is on the platforms.
- Finally, ask some friends to beta test, and then cry cause they found massive bugs that you probably don't want to solve.
From this point forward, the storyline has been completed but I still plan on changing the conversations and fixing the grammar mistakes.
This has been a hell of a journey but I'm happy to admit that I'm kind of proud of what I did. Was this a revolutionary game like no other? Absolutely not! Are there thousands of other games like this? Of course! Did I make it from scratch, from the storyline to the music? Yes! And to me, that's what matters.
Hopefully, with the next dev log, I'll fix more problems and finalize the conversations as they are the key part of the game.
